by the way, the sports guy is my favorite sports writer out there for two reasons (a) he loves the celtics and devotes about half his columns to my favorite team (b) he mixes sports and pop culture references together like a fine gin and tonic. his knowledge in both arenas is extraordinary. he's like my role model and super hero rolled up into one. who is this guy? i've forwarded along some of his columns to people and i've had girls who are on the verge of following sports just because of his work.
